Prefab Wall
Pre-cast concrete elements have been used globally for over a century, including precast concrete perimeter walls. Today, the use of precast and ready-made concrete walls has increased due to the time savings in on-site wall construction, as well as the advantages in terms of quality, aesthetics, material reduction, and cost-effectiveness.
Precast concrete perimeter walls can be produced with heights ranging from 1 to 5 meters and widths ranging from 1.5 to 3 meters, including panel walls for organizations, villa walls, and garden walls. The precast wall system consists of foundation elements, columns, and wall panels. The design and calculation of walls, columns, and foundations are based on the predominant loads, including wind loads specific to the installation area.
The regulations governing the construction of precast walls are determined based on factors such as wall integrity, fire resistance, wind resistance, aesthetics, and wall dimensions. These regulations are part of national building codes, which are established to ensure public safety and well-being. However, specific regulations may vary between regions and countries.
Due to significant variations in safety regulations between countries, standardization organizations are established to establish relevant laws. In regions where specific regulations are required, experts must supplement the standard regulations with additional requirements based on the region's characteristics. For example, in areas prone to natural fires, additional regulations for fire prevention may be added. In regions near fault lines, regulations may emphasize the need for stronger foundations with higher strength.
