What is a heavyweight block?
A heavyweight block is a combination of mortar, sand, and cement that is poured into a block-making machine and shaped under pressure. After shaping, the blocks are left undisturbed for about 5 hours and then watered, which is done three times a day. Finally, the blocks are exposed to sunlight, and after 3 days, the heavyweight blocks are produced. Due to the presence of water and cement in these blocks, they are referred to as heavyweight wall blocks.
What is a lightweight block?
The production process of lightweight and heavyweight blocks is similar. However, the mortar in lightweight blocks is made from mineral perlite or vermiculite instead of sand. As a result, lightweight blocks have less weight and can significantly increase the speed during construction.
